We are a small New England breeder of authentic Australian Multigeneration Labradoodles. When we lost our beautiful and marvelous Molly, a German Shepherd, I was interested in finding a dog THAT DOES NOT SHED! While we loved Molly and would not have traded our 15 years with her for anything, we were tired of dog hair everywhere.
Our search led to labradoodles…and the more we read, the more we realized the importance of ensuring that our dog was an Australian Labradoodle. Our research reviewed an array of ‘Doodles’ and we quickly realized that all doodles are not equal! Some have large variations in coat types, shedding/non-shedding tendencies, and personalities.
We settled on the Australian Multigeneration Labradoodles which have been researched and bred for more than 20 years in Australia at Rutland Manor and Tegan park by people with great passions for the development of dogs with traits to enable them to do the important work of therapy dogs, to have social temperaments oriented to people…families, the young and old, and people with special needs. We especially loved the concept of these dogs being able to be part of service work.
Our ‘Mama’ dog is Rosewood Chessie, carefully bred by Rosewood Labradoodles from dogs whose heritage reaches across the ocean to Australia’s Rutland Manor and Tegan Park; her bloodlines carry their legacy! She is ‘smart as a whip’ and has an incredibly soft, silky fleece coat that does not shed and is allergy friendly.
We breed medium sized (about 18” at the shoulder and 30 lbs) Multigeneration Australian Labradoodles that live with us on a lush and secluded, park like property. Our dogs have more than 2 acres of lawns and several acres of woodlands to romp through. All dogs and puppies are part of our family and none of them live in kennels, crates or enclosures.
